Well I’ve finally got it sorted! We’ll be at a new larger venue this year which we’ll take over for the whole weekend.
When? – Friday 10th to Sunday 12th May, 2013
Where? – Y Fricsan, Llanberis Rd Cwm-y-glo, Gwynedd LL55 4EE http://tinyurl.com/YFricsan
(you might find references online to Y Fricsan/Snowdon Inn being shut – it currently is, camping and bunkhouses will be re-launched end of April, the restaurant opening in early summer – the old music venue Fricsan will only be operating for special events such as this weekend. This will be the last music event before the restaurant make-over gets underway – just so people know the actual venue will be a bit rough and ready but warm, dry and comfortable and perfect for our needs.)
What? – same as usual: gather on Friday for a strum-along that night, walk up a mountain* Saturday day before open mic and gig that night. Food available Fri & Sat nights and Sat & Sun mornings.
How Much? – Entry to the event is by the purchase of at least one £5 raffle ticket which gives you a chance of winning a brand new Pete Howlet ‘Marmite’ Ukulele (see page on Raffle for more details). People attending just the Friday night or Saturday night sessions will be charged £3 on the door.
Camping – £5 pppn, Bunkhouse £10 pppn
Food – Evening Meal £7.50, Breakfast £5.00
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available from the pub which will feature local ale.
Why? – ‘cos when you live out in the sticks you make your own fun, ‘cos it’s beautiful here and you should come and experience it, ‘cos since time immemorial humans have gathered together to make music, ‘cos if I build it you will come (won’t you?)
