Alternatives To Camping

For those of you who don’t fancy a couple of nights under canvas there are a few other options to camping. Caravans and Motorhomes are welcome, their occupants will be charged the same rate, £5pppn.

Bunkhouse – a bunk in one of the two bunkhouses on site, one sleeps 8 and the other sleeps 10. The plan is to designate one for the early to bed early to rise types and one for the night owls. Places are on a first come first served basis and at the time of writing 1 x Early To and 5 x Night Owl places have been booked. £10ppn, you must provide your own sleeping bag.

B&B – Nearest guesthouse is the Gallt Y Glyn, some 1.5 miles by road or 2 level miles on foot from Y Fricsan. I’ve spoken to Heidi the wonderful landlady there and she has put the following accommodation on reserve for ukers for two weeks from today, Sunday 17th March:

2 x Twin Rooms at £60 per night
2 x Family Rooms at £70 per night (1 x double and 2 x adult sized bunk beds)                          1 x Double Room at £60 per night

All rooms have their own bathrooms and prices include breakfast.

The Gallt Y Glyn’s two bed roomed bunkhouse is also currently available. Each room has four built-in bunks  and its own bathroom with power shower. Price of  £20ppn includes bed linen and tea and coffee making facilities.

If you’re interested please book quickly as Heidi can only hold the above accommodation for two weeks. If sufficient people were interested a mini-bus taxi could be arranged through Gallt Y Glyn to get you back there from Y Fricsan at the end of the night. For more details you can contact Heidi on 01286 870370 or see www.gallt-y-glyn.co.uk
